How It Works

Students follow four simple steps:

1. Say It & Write It: Listen to the word and write the sounds in the sound boxes.

2. Find the Sound: Identify and circle the sound being practiced.

3. Choose the Pattern: Examine the available spelling choices and select the correct grapheme.

4. Write & Check: Write the complete word and use spelling clues and feedback to check the spelling.

Students then use the Try It Again section to practice spelling words from memory.

Use an activity alongside your current phonics or dyslexia intervention instruction. Students practice the target spelling pattern while reviewing previously learned grapheme choices.

A Note for Teachers
